Anthony Travalgia: Whether David Krejci likes it or not, breaking up Bergeron line is working Since taking David Pastrnak off the second line, a move that irks a former Bruin, the second line has been very good for the Bruins.

David Krejci is not here so he can shut it up. Worry about your Czech team, David.

That was fun last night. Holy poop!

Great writeup Anthony. I can admit when I was wrong, I honestly didn't think the shakeup would work but here we are. I hope to see it continue.

Still would like to see more from the bottom six, however hard to not like getting some more out of line 2. Gryz with a 5 point night. Got some positives going.

Yeah. I think it is kind of crappy that he never got more time with Pasta. But man, is he butthurt right now.

It sounds like sour grapes. Now if he wanted to come back...then come on, let's go! Otherwise, you left. Deal. Move on.

Who's on the top line now in Pastrnak's spot?

Craig Smith I think. At some point, would be fun to give Steen a look there, but it might be too soon.

Nah, Smith is the perfect fit. He shoots a LOT and is usually on goal with his shot. That allows Marchy and Bergy to pick up the greasy goals on the rebounds.

He isn't bad. I just think it would be fun to give Steen a look. Smith has normally been reliable wherever you stick him in the lineup.

Top line is an older one but still kicking. Giving some youth a look (other than pasta) wouldnt necessarily be terrible.

I like Cassidy but these line experiments should have happened long ago. I also don’t fault Krejci at all. He got handed dog *%!< for years to play with after Looch and Horton/Iginla were gone. I would be pissed too. Although his timing was bad, I don’t understand why he didn’t stick it out a couple more years. He could have done the Czech league in 2-3 yrs to end his career.

Rask is officially back with the Bruins. $1M for 1 year (pro-rated $545,000).

It does sound a bit like sour grapes. If he stuck around that 2nd line might have excelled this season.

Not sure what you people are talking about by ripping #46. K Is he wrong ? The man was one of the most vital guys on this team during Playoff time Yet Management never gave him a decent winger until they got Hall. He had Luc & Horty. He had Iggy for one year. That was it. So is he pissed. Damn right. I don’t blame him one bit for telling management to go Suck it.

I've always defended Kreicji.

But he was well-paid for 2nd-line duties (1st or 2nd highest paid), and he decided to bolt after a player like Hall was acquired to boost the 2nd line.

And he has a CUP ring.

No reason to be pissed.

And Swayman is already headed to Providence (and not happy about it). Sweeney is an idiot (Ullmark contract, namely the NMC)...wish he and Neely would ride off in the sunset to retirement together.

It’s not like they didn’t try to bring in wingers for him. They also brought in Loui and Rick Nash and those didn’t pan out. Debrusk worked out for a bit. Taylor Hall was working. He decided to ride off into the sunset. It wasnt for a long stretches but they had Pasta playing with him to try and spark the offense quite a bit. Often mid game. He can say they had chemistry but it didn’t really show.

100% agree with this assesment. People forget he led the NHL in playoff scoring twice with the Bruins. He got secondary treatment for a long time near the end of his career. He was not handled properly.
I still wish he would have rode it out at least another year. He was gonna be riding shotgun with Hall this year.
